Checklist for mold GA Drawings
It is more effective to use a 2-tier structure for the check list of mold drawings.
First, write a checklist that is checked separately by the designer and by a third party. The purpose of this checklist is to identify, from a third-party neutral perspective, whether there are serious misunderstandings about important items.
Second, write a "self-checklist" based on the designer's own detailed thinking path.
The purpose of this checklist is to find human error in detailed design matters.
The following is an example of a "check list" that was checked by the designer himself and by a third party.
(1) Is the front and back of the cavity-core correct?
(2) Is the number of cavities consistent?
(3) Does the parting surface meet the specification requirements?
(4) Does the gate position meet the specification requirements?
(5) Is the cost structure of the formed product satisfactory?
(6) In terms of production performance, does it have a satisfactory production capacity?
(7) Can the mold be installed on the injection molding machine used?
(8) Is it 100% no problem to release from the fixed side?
(9) Is it 100% OK to eject from the active side?
(10) Is it 100% no problem for the molded product to be demoulded from the side core-pulling slider?
(11) Is the runner layout appropriate?
(12) Is the direction of the center offset wrong?
(13) Is the preset forming shrinkage rate appropriate?
(14) Is the division of inserts appropriate?
(15) Is the disassembly frequency of the mold consistent with the maintenance structure?
(16) Is there any part where interference or collision will occur between parts?
(17) Does it meet special specification requirements?
(18) Is the mold temperature appropriate?
(19) Is the structure able to meet the delivery date requirements?
(20) Have you predicted the problem of poor molding and taken countermeasures accordingly?
