Summarize the injection molding Advantaged and Disadvantages

 Advantages and disadvantages of injection molding

Injection molding: Also called injection molding, this method is injection and molding. Injection molding has many advantages. The general summary is fast production speed, high efficiency, automatic operation, various designs, simple shape, small size, accurate product size, convenient product update, complex shape, etc. And it is suitable for molding and injection molding processing fields such as mass production and complex shape products.

Summarize:

1. Process cost: the mold cost is high but the unit cost is low;

2. Typical products: automotive plastic parts, consumer electronics plastic casings, etc.;

3. Suitable for production: generally only suitable for mass production;

4. Quality: the surface precision is extremely high, and the shape error of the same batch of products is very small;

5. Speed: 30s-60s/piece;

Factors Affecting Injection Molding Quality

1. Injection pressure: The reason for injection pressure is to offset the resistance during the flow of the melt, or to eliminate the resistance during the flow by the pressure of the injection machine. The two are just the opposite, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the filling environment ;

2. Injection time: Reasonable injection time is conducive to the ideal filling of the melt, and the ear is very important to improve the surface quality of the product and reduce the dimensional tolerance;

3. Injection temperature: The injection temperature must be controlled within the M range. If the temperature is too low, the plasticization of the molten material will not be good, which will affect the quality of the formed part and increase the difficulty of processing; if the temperature is too high, the raw materials will easily decompose; of course, injection molding also has disadvantages.

2. Disadvantages of injection molding process

1. Two sets of injection molding and blow molding molds and a hollow core mold with valve must be used for product molding, and the mold for injection parison should be able to withstand high pressure, and the cost of molding equipment is high;

2. The temperature of the injection parison is high, which requires a long cooling and setting time after being blown in the injection mold, which prolongs the entire molding cycle of the product and affects production efficiency;

3. The internal stress of the injection molded parison is large, and it is easy to be unevenly cooled during the conversion of the mold, and stress cracking is prone to occur when producing products with complex shapes and large sizes. Therefore, the shape and size of the product are limited, and it is only suitable for production. Small products used in the fields of cosmetics, daily necessities, pharmaceutical packaging, food packaging, etc.;

4. High requirements for the operating skills of the operators.
